*Chef Smith is over at the blender tasting his sauce*
Chef Smith: Let's get this strained.
*Taking the blender over to the sink where a silve and a bowl are waiting for him. Filtering the sauce, he can see that the sauce is satisfactory.*
Chef Smith: Adam!
SC Adam: Yes, Chef?
Chef Smith: Keep a close eye on my peach skins. I really going to need them in a few minutes.
SC Adam: Yes, Chef!

15 MINUTES TO GO!
Fukui: Only one-fourth of the battle remains, and the action is beginning to heat up here in Kitchen Stadium!
Post ------------------- Alright, we're back on track. It may take a few days for everyone to filter back in, but we'll be running again soon. Thanks for jumping in, Sanji! ------------------- End

*Chen then takes the heated wok with the oil, garlic, ginger, spicy szechuan peppers and add the cubed peaches from earlier in the battle.*
Chen: How's the duck and pork doing?
Assistant 1: The skin is crisping up nicely. I think it will be ready sooner.
Assistant 2: Same here. The skin is crispy to the touch.
Chen: Let me see.
*Assistant make room for Chen.*
Chen: Just a little bit longer. I have to get back to this dish.
*Chen then adds the fried tofu. He then takes one and a half ladles of shan tan broth. This is left to cook and reduce.*
Chen: In the home stretch guys.

Hattori: It has been interesting seeing all the different ways the chefs have come up with to use peaches in this battle. Now that we're getting down to the homestretch the chefs should start plating soon and we'll see these dishes start coming together.
Based on the the way the kitchen smells I would agree and say you're in for a real treat Morisan.

Post --------------------- I think I'm about ready to give up on this RPG. I'll leave it open in the hopes that both of our chefs are actually able to participate at the same time, but I have a feeling it's about as far as it will get. And that's a shame, because we got so close to the end. But things have been so slow lately that I doubt the upcoming busy holiday season will do anything to help the situation. ---------------------- End

Post -------------------------- Go ahead and just keep cooking, achen. I'm trying to contact Sanji. If anything, we'll guess his dishes as best we can. We're so far in this battle I'd hate to quit now. -------------------------- End

*At the ten minutes mark to six minutes. *
Assistants (Almost at the same time): It's done!
Chen: Let me see.
*Chen then pokes the skin of the duck and pork belly.*
Chen: They are done. Put the duck on the platter with the imperial platter with the steamed Peking duck wrappers. After take out the peach housin sauce and dry the scallion bushes, then place then on the edges of the same plate. Place the peach spears on the same plate also. Let the pork belly cool for five minutes and then place then on top of the banana leaf on the big platter. The peach buns are done, so place them on the same plate.
*Chen then takes the Laojiao peach distillates and mixes them with Dom Perignon. Takes a taste.*
Chen: Wow! Strong but good. Lets start finishing up.
*Chen quickly thickens up the tofu dish with corn starch and adds a little oil to make the dish glisten. Chen dishes out the dish onto rectangular plates with the pickled daikon.
*At the five minutes mark to one minute.*
*Chen carves up the pork belly into slices, taking care not to separate the skin from the meat. Takes a taste.*
Chen: Very good. Nice and crispy. Check to make sure all the dishes are ready.
Assistant 1 & 2: All done.
*Chen looks at all the dishes.*
Chen: Longevity noodles, peach drink, peach tea, Peking duck, pork belly, peach buns, tofu peach stir-fry, eight treasure rice. That should be it.
*At the forty-five second mark.*
Chen: I only count five dishes. Quick we forgot to take out the Xiaolongbao.
*Chen scrambles to take the Xiaolongbao from the steamer. He places them down on the counter just as the gong of fate sounds.*
Chen: All done. I almost forgot the last dish!

FIVE MINUTES TO GO!
Fukui: There's still five minutes remaining, and it appears as if the Iron Chef is completely finished! Incredible! Meanwhile, the challenger's side of Kitchen Stadium isn't nearly as calm, with chefs rushing around to finish their dishes in time!
Post ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If need be, we'll try to go on with judgment and only judge the Iron Chef's dishes. Can anyone piece together what the challenger was trying to make? If so, well just go with that. Sanji has not responded to any of my emails, so we'll just move forward without him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- End

Post ---------------------------------- Well, this RPG hasn't received any attention for several months now. Considering that we got 15 RPGs completed long after Iron Chef Japan reached the height of its popularity, I think we should be content with the amazing RPGs that we did complete and give the RPG a rest for a while. Maybe interest will return one day. Thanks for all who played, especially those who stuck with this particular RPG until the very end! --------------------------------- End

I really must say you all are amazing! You have stuck with the RPGs to the end, and you should be proud of yourselves. Sorry I had to poop out on this site for so long but I had to serve time on the Home-owners Association Board. A two year obligation. I got the worse job of all, being treasurer and the previous one had messed up the books so bad that they are still not straight, but they are much better than they were. Trying to find the monies that were "misplaced".
