The Symon vs Adjey battle was very interesting. The secret ingrediant was sturgeon. That sure is an ugly looking fish.
The battle ended up as a tie. The judges preferred Symon's taste but gave more points to Adjey for presentation and originality which had the battle end as a tie.
I wonder if FoodNetWork will have another match between the two?
Adjey and Symon were roomies at culinary school.

I saw it too. Adjey had very good presentations (I liked the idea he had with the cedar paper), but the judges were pretty tough on him when it came to the tasting. (And remember, these were the edited comments; I'm sure there were others, but for various reasons not shown.)

I don't know about you guys, but I nearly fell of the sofa when I saw Alton in a jacket and tie, shaved and with his hair combed.....he looked spiffier than I can ever recall seeing him before.

Actually I fell off the sofa when the butane lighter on Adjey's side exploded.

Yeah, that was rather scary. I was worried for a moment that Adjey had been hurt - thankfully he was OK.
