Just wanted to say that today's panel was a HUGE SUCCESS! I had a nearly packed room this afternoon and the audience really loved the clips I showed as well as my top 10 episodes countdown I did. I also was fortunate enough to have a friend in video production work film the event and we'll hopefully be getting that edited together soon and put online for you all to enjoy! Also, talked with a staffer of the con who I mentioned about the missing episodes to and he's told me he'll try and check through COUP (the anime club at UNC-Chapel Hill) and see if they have any missing episodes in their old archives of the series as well! I must say, I did not expect the attendance I got for the panel, but it was a roaring success and the convention staff have told me they want it back next year! You, sir, are helping more than ever to keep this show from sinking into oblivion! We cannot thank you enough! If you happen to be fortunate enough to come across some of those missing battles, please share with Tuthead so that we can take a peak Congrats on the success of your panel. I too cannot wait to see it!

Just one quick thing to say, I still plan to get video of my panel online, I've just had difficulty getting my clips from the panel to my friend who recorded it and will be editing the video together, but that is slowly being fixed. Also, sadly Otakon in Baltimore turned down my panel offer, but I['m in talks with one of the panel tracks related to Japanese culture and the one on Asian culture at Dragoncon in Atlanta on holding the panel there. I also plan to submit the panel to AnimeUSA in Crystal City/Arlington, VA this November as well!

How cool would that be, to take your show on the road? ;D

This is great to hear! I can't wait to see the footage of the panel. I think the interest that your panel generated is proof that there is still a dedicated ICJ fanbase out there.
Considering your panel was such a success, I wonder if you could stage an actual culinary battle next year. That would really get the crowd excited!

Oh man, I have dreamed of trying to do my own large scale Iron Chef battle at a con, but from all my yearly con travels and experience for almost 10 years now, I fear the logistics of trying to organize such a thing would be rather difficult for a few reasons: - Organizing enough people for the roles of a Chairman, Chefs, challenger, assistants, commentators, judges - Having a large enough space for the audience and set up - Finding a venue that would allow for cooking equipment set up of any kind. XD If I'm lucky though for next year at Animazement, a few of my friends want to dress up as the Iron Chefs and I plan to talk to the convention about having some actual showings of Iron Chef episodes during the con as well! As for the video, I've gotten all of my footage to my editor and he's hoping to have it finished by the end of the weekend. I'll probably upload it to a streaming site that can handle longer videos, like blip.tv and hopefully be able to provide a download of it too. I'll warn you all in advance that I stumble over myself a few times and probably butchered a few names as well.

I'll gladly host the video if you need a place. (I'd probably be a good option for the download and one of the other places for streaming.)

I know I keep saying this, but my friend has had a few hassles with getting some of my clips to work for the video, but he promises me it'll be ready soon; but I promise it's coming!

I hate to say this, but I no longer know when I'll be able to get the panel video to all of you to see and I'm not happy about this. My friend editing the video hasn't been responding to me lately, but he's been busy being out of state for a while. As for myself, I've been kept busy moving across my own state, but the good news in that regard is that I'll be living closer to my friend with the video footage, so I'll be trying to have him get me that video done before the end of the month. In some good news, at this past Dragoncon in Atlanta, GA over the weekend I got the last miute opportunity to present the Iron Chef panel for the con. Had a small turnout seeing as the panel was a replacement four hours before it was presented, but the D*C staff did a great job of posting the panel change on twitter and updating their mobile schedule app so late in the game for this. By the time I was showing episode clips I had a big crowd come in for a panel following mine, but even though most of them were not there for Iron Chef, they were having a fun time with the clips and a lot of them seemed interested in the series from my promoting it! I made sure to tell people to come check out Iron Chef Fans also, the track director for D*C's Silk Road track really wants me to present the panel for her track next year as well! So hopefully next year I'll get an even better turnout for D*C. Hopefully the panel will be appearing at AnimeUSA and Katsucon this coming November and February as well! Also, we'll hopefully be having ICJ episode showings at Animazement next year as well! I know it's not much of an update, but I just wanted you all to know I'm doing my best to get ICJ promoted!

I am interested in bringing the panel to Texas in 2013. I am talking to the appropriate authorities now about it to plan ahead.
