Wow, this is going to be a huge undertaking. I enjoyed your review of Battle Chicken. Definitely looking forward to your changing impression of the series as you get farther into the show's run.

I just peeked at this for the first time.
okonomiyagi, you are to be commended for your efforts. Reading your blog is very similar to reading Iron Steph's reviews from back in the day (which many on here may not remember). I hope and pray that you are able to make it through all of the available battles, though this may take a couple years.
Again, great job and I am most impressed. It is certainly nice to see things like this and GreatSG's panel re-ignite the flames of our beloved show. I am pleased.

Just finished today: Battle Bonito for your reading pleasure. I'm finding that, except for Ishinabe vs. Borie, I'm agreeing with the verdicts handed down as I examine these battles more closely. Anyone else feel the same way?

Anyone else feel the same way? Generally speaking, yes...but you also have to remember that our opinion is subjective to what we are shown in an episode. The editing of a battle has a lot to do with what parts we see. Keep in mind that the judging is kept VERY short for viewers, so we really don't have as much to base our opinion on as the tasters do.
