As long as those reasons convince the people at the network to put the show back on, then I'm still up for it. Ready whenever you are, fearless leader!

Hi everyone, I'm new here, but I love Iron Chef, and I love this site.
Does anyone know if Food Network will change their line up again for the Fall season? I was also wondering if The Food Network has ever aired the first dozen or so episodes of The Iron Chef? I don't seem to remember seeing any battles with Iron Chef Ishinabe,(green outfit) and I always wondered what he was like as IC. after lurking for a while, It's great to finally be a member.

Hellow and welcome crazy4kaga!
So far, Food Network hasn't said anything about changing their schedule for Iron Chef. They said it would move in July, and it didn't, so I think it will be stuck where it's at for a while.
Only one regular episode of Ishinabe's was ever aired here, Battle Chicken. It was a Christmas special, so that's how it aired on Food Network. Otherwise, non of Ishinabe's first battles were ever dubbed.

First of all, a big welcome to you, crazy4kaga! Well, to answer your questions, I called Food Network maybe about 3 weeks ago, and got the same response: "We do not have information yet about Iron Chef, it will be airing Tuesday at 4AM EST until further notice." So, there is not much hope there....sorry. As for Ishinabe, they only battle aired featuring him as an IC (not counting special battles) was battle chicken. If you have been watching the show for some time, you would notice that the pace of the earlier battles was much slower than those of the newer battles. Also, the voice overs have changed for almost everyone. Well I hope that helps answer your questions, crazy4kaga.

Thank you for the info allezcuisine, and Man Alive! I really miss when the Iron Chef aired weeknights at 11:00. But I guess if once a week at such a late(or early?) hour is all we are gonna get, then it's better than nothing. I still have hope it will return to the Food Network on a more frequent, and convenient time slot. I look forward to discussing everything Iron Chef with all of you.

It's been just over a month since the last post here. As the USA fall TV season kicks into high gear over the next two weeks, is there any hope for more frequent airings of ICJ?
According to my TiVo (which always lists the upcoming two weeks of programming), FN is still airing ICJ once a week, TUE at 0400 ET. Maybe toward the end of the month?

I contacted FN again today and I got the same response I always get: "We have no word on when or if ICJ will be returning to a more convenient time slot." As for ICJ, we'll just have to wait, and maybe, just maybe, GSN will finally pick up ICJ. I hope so...

GSN picking up ICJ would be good AND bad. It would be good because they'd give it a good timeslot and play it often. However, GSN has a bad habit of playing episodes in odd orders. They play the episodes in order, but sometimes they jump around in their seasons.
Food Network is the best place for it, but they really should get a better timeslot. Even daytime would be alright!

Daytime would be a great idea!
