Oh boy, is it hot out or what?! The whole North East is under a Heat Warning! The expected high in my area is 103! That is just insane. It hasn't been this hot/humid in five years! How hot is it by you all? Take care, and keep cool!

On the west coast, to include Nevada it's been very hot. We had more than two weeks straight of triple diget temps and the entire month of July was never less than the high 90's otherwise. Can you say GLOBAL WARMING?

Global Warming. I haven't given it much thought until just now. I hope we can stop it, before it gets like this each year.

It's hot... but I live in the desert and we're actually below average for this time of year. (Maybe we're also getting global cooling. )

Nashville has been hot (lower to mid-90s) and somewhat humid, but I've lived in places more humid than this. And, after 4 years in Phoenix, I'm dealing with it pretty well.

Phoenix...wow. I don't think I could handle 110+ temps. Is it true that you can really cook an egg on the sidewalk over there?

The humidity is much lower on this side of the country but the air is thinner because of being so high above sea level. But the thinness of the air makes it twice as easy to sunburn. Yes, you can actually fry an egg in the heat, like on your car. But I wouldn't want to live in Phoenix. Too dang hot there, too dang hot even in Las Vegas. Those places are hot enough but combine that heat with added heat of the exhaust from cars, dense population, hot, dry winds, etc., it's really hot! Personally, I think we're all going to melt into a quick to evaporate puddle soon.

Oh you don't eat it. It's just for fun. I don't know a single person who grew up here who hasn't cooked an egg on the sidewalk at least once.
You don't know what hot is unless everytime you look up the street you see a mirage 1/2 a block away.

I've seen those mirages in Minneapolis in the summer time.

I've never been to the extreme west coast. I'd love the chance to visit sometime.

Come on out to Reno and we can drive to San Francisco. There are lots of cool places to stop along the way.
