That is impressive. I take it there is a time you want it by so you can't wait for amazon to restock?

Well, this is just an update. The camcorder I was looking at has been discontinued. Looks like I'll be looking for another one.

Try e-bay then. Once things are discontinued they often show up there for a fraction of the cost.

I've thought about it. I just don't like the whole ebay setup -- I just don't trust it...

On the news, yesterday morning, they said there are lots of people selling stolen goods on E-bay. People change the bar code of items and buy them cheaper, too, and then sell them on E-bay at a big profit. Can't trust that site, imho. I had to close out my credit card with Mastercard because somehow someone charged a cell phone to me on Paypal that I didn't order. It's the first time anything that has ever happened to me.

You can never be too careful with personal information on the internet, espcially credit card numbers. It's a shame anyone even thinks to pull something like that.
EBay can be trusted, but not all of Ebay. You have to be extremely careful with who you buy from. They must be a reputable seller with many, many positive feedbacks. Otherwise, forget it.

I've learned my lesson, fortunately, it was not as bad as it could have been.

Last year I purchased a piece of jewelry from a local seller. The jewelry was stolen! Thank God I had my receipt with me.

Yes, it's a good idea to hang on to receipts of expensive items. I HATE PEOPLE WHO STEAL!
