p2pnet.net news:- Millionairess Paris Hilton has passed Go, after all. But it may not be for long.
Hours after being supposedly incarcerated for three weeks in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Los Angeles, for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case, she was out again, thanks to an undefined "medical condition".
She went home under house arrest but, "the judge who put her in jail for violating her reckless-driving probation ordered her into court to determine whether she should be put back behind bars," says Associated Press.
She was slated to be back in court at 9 am today, Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini said, according to the story.
Hilton was turned loose wearing a remote monitoring device.
The decision to release her was made by the sheriff's department and, "I can't specifically talk about the medical situation other than to say that, yes, it played a part in this," AP quotes spokesman Steve Whitmore as saying.
However, "It is the city (prosecutor's) position that the decision whether or not Ms Hilton should be released early and placed on electronic monitoring should be made by Judge (Michael) Sauer, and not the Sheriff's Department," says Jeffrey Isaacs, chief of the city attorney's criminal branch, said in a statement, states The Telegraph.
According to another AP story, Hilton's lawyer, Richard A. Hutton, said Hilton's first night in jail, "She's using this time to reflect on her life, to see what she can do to make the world better and hopefully, in my opinion, to change the attitudes that exist about her among many people."
