Another 2 on 1 battle. This time it's IC Batali facing two chefs. Synopsis: Chicago based partners Rick Tramonto and Gale Gand come to Kitchen Stadium to challenge Iron Chef Mario Batali. Will this powerful duo overpower Batali, or will Batali walk away the winner? Gale Gand is a pastry chef and Rick Tramonto is a executive chef of Chicago's Tru. www.ricktramonto.com/So, my prediction is a tie. 53 points a piece. Place your predictions asap until Sunday.

I can't wait for this one. I love the 2 on 1 battles. I'm gonna say 54-50 in favor of Tramonto and Gand.

Batali by a landslide.

I hope it's a non-protein ingredient. I want to see an excellent dessert if we have a pastry chef! I predict 52-50, Batali. Just pulling the numbers out of the air!

I think it will be close. Batali is a great opponent to Tramonto, but the guy is near legend in Chicago. Although it is technically a 2 on 1, lets not forget that Mark Ladner is also an amazing chef in his own right (He is the executive chef at Del Posto I believe)

WOW, this sound like it's going to be an exciting battle. But, Batali can handle it.

Yep, Batali wins, with much higher taste scores than the challengers. Those desserts looked good, but Batali's dishes looked better overall. Great battle.

Mario scored a remarkable 28 in taste, pretty much wrapping up the battle right there. The judges were especially impressed how he highlighted fennel in all the dishes, not the easiest task to pull off.

It's pretty hard to beat IC Batali, ever. He is probably one of the best chefs in the world, in my humble opinion. And I know NOTHING, NOTHING about food. Plus, he's such a cool guy.
