You know who I'd like to see as future challenges for ICA?
1. Michael Smith -- the Atlantic star of "Chef at Home" and "Chef At Large". It's about time we had another Canadian challenger, to tackle either Mario or Cat.
2. Ron Siegel -- yes, he's beaten Sakai before in Battle Lobster. How would he do against the next generation of Iron Chefs?
3. Chen Kenichi -- don't know if he's already retired or not, but wouldn't it be a blast to bring him in from Japan, to go against either Morimoto (for a reunion special) or Cat (since I don't think she's ever faced a real Iron Chef in battle)?
4. Jeffrey Steingarten -- hey, if Hattori-san could do battle, why not this judge and food critic (if only to make an interesting article in Vogue)?
5. British Invasion Special -- how do you suppose Nigella, Jamie or Gordon would do in Kitchen Stadium New York?

4. Jeffrey Steingarten -- hey, if Hattori-san could do battle, why not this judge and food critic (if only to make an interesting article in Vogue)? That would be hilarious. I don't think he could or would do it though. Welcome. Now get yourself to the introduction forum and let us know about you.

Yes, welcome ICC!
I think Seigel and Chen-san would be interesting challengers, although the chances of either competing in ICA are pretty slim. Chen was supposed to be in the Battle of the Masters special, but he couldn't come to America at that time.
Along those lines, what about Kobe-san?

I would think that Chen and Kobe would appear in a special that is similar to BOTM, and also send over Fukui and Hattori-san to assist Alton on commentary for an added touch;). All and all, I think that, aside from Stiengarten, that they are acceptable challengers and should be considered.

I'd just love to see an IC from ICJ take on Morimoto, now that he is an IC in ICA.

Sakai and Morimoto, now that would be the greatest battle in history.
