Don't be too sure:
1. From what I remember of a Toronto Life profile, Crawford is a friend of Susur Lee and has no doubt benefitted from his advice.
2. Crawford also has high-pressure TV experience as one of the chefs of Food Network Canada's Restaurant Makeover. (Hint: under no circumstances should you call her "babe.")
3. Canadians are undefeated at Kitchen Stadium New York. Should Crawford prevail, I fully expect a final shot of Kevin Brauch looking smug.

Um, last time I checked, fellow Canadian Susur Lee and IC Bobby Flay tied in battle bacon.

I *did* say "undefeated." A tie is not a defeat.

Well, Flay took his much-deserved win- that is not to say, however, that almost all of tonight's dishes weren't delictable.
Some tidbits of interest:
1) This is my second time of seeing the new intro, and I was able to observe it well now that I knew it was coming. It's much more slickly done than the last one. Better shots of the Chairman and Kitchen Stadium, especially of the secret ingredient "container."
2) Alton has new monitors! Now even the slim video monitors on Alton's desk are adorned with the double-knife Kitchen Stadium logo.
3) New camera shots of the Iron Chefs were used- much better all around, I think.
Iron Chef America has been improving dramatically over the past few weeks (although it still pales in comparison to ICJ). Here's to hoping FN keeps up the improvements.

Yeah, isn't that funny!
WooHoo, my dream ingredient! I could SO kick butt with this ingredient given the opportunity. Actually, i'm having some friends over for Thai this weekend and an considering putting peanuts in everything.
that was a great battle. Both chef's did an awesome job and the food looked excellent! I was starving by the end of it.
Chef Crawford sure talks a lot, doesn't she? That was hilarious when she was calling her sous chef and Bobby (Flay) though she was talking to him!
What's with AB's "nerdier" look this season? He looks like he just rolled out of bed!
I watched Cradle 2 the Grave recently. Chairman Mark makes a cool bad guy.

What's with AB's "nerdier" look this season? He looks like he just rolled out of bed! Hubby hates Alton's new look - he made the same comment about looking like he just rolled out of bed. You'd think the powers that be could at least make sure his hair was combed.....

As for the battle, I caught the last 20 minutes of it. Flay did well.

Yep, I can't say I like Alton's "scruffy" look. Maybe the women like it?
