Alrighty everyone, after much deliberation, I have decided on a site contest.
In words or in pictures, you must convey to me (the judge) exactly what Iron Chef means to you.
The topic is touchy, especially since Iron Chef won't be on for a while, and we all thought it was gone.
So go ahead: Write a story, poem, or essay, or draw a picture (digital or physical) to best answer the question to the question above. Entries, if written, must be lengthy.
If you make artwork, you must upload a picture of it to the site. If you need help doing this (because the pictures will have to be hosted on an image hosting site) feel free to contact me anytime.
All entries are due by Wednesday, April 12, 2006. If you plan on participating, please say so below. You can submit your entires at any time before the due date.
Again, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me anytime. Good luck everyone!

Here are some questions I have been receiving regarding the contest:
1) Do spelling and punctuation count? Spelling and punctuation do not count unless it's so horrible that I don't feel like fighting through it. I don't think anyone on this board has horrible grammar skills, though, so don't worry about it.
2) Does it have to be double spaced? I don't care if you double space lines or not.
3) How do you enter your project? Well, I originally thought we could just post them in this thread, but that just won't work. Please PM me your entry.
4) Will the winner's project be shown on the site? I would REALLY like to post the winner's story (or whatever they send in) unless they totally object to it. Make sure to let me know if you don't want your entry made pubilc. I truly would like to share everyone's entries once the contest is OVA!
5) What is the prize? The prize is an animated Iron Chef avatar, made by me, of whatever the winner chooses, as well as a custom member title.
6) How long should the entry be? For art, I don't care how big or elaborate it is. Poetry must be at least half a page. A written story (which is what I think most people are doing) has no certain limit to it, but I think it should be AT LEAST a page. Whatever it takes to get the message across. Mostly when I said "lengthy" above, I just meant don't make it really short.
7) Does the entry have to be in our own words? Yes. Everything submitted to me MUST be written in your own words. Please do not use material written by other fans or official Iron Chef sources, unless of course you are simply making a reference to them in your entry. What I'm saying here is no plagiarism.
Hope that helps everyone!

No offense taken, Michiba-san. Even I couldn't write 200 pages without repeating myself. There will, no doubt be much praising of IC Sakai, but I promise to mention the rest, too. Sometimes we just can't help who our heart chooses, even though our head has the brains. Fortunately, sometimes (heart and head) both work together and keep us under control. It's actually fun to be so totally in love with someone and yet not want to be around that person. No stress that way. Does that make sense? I'm really, really a very shy person so it would be pure "stage fright" if I ever met HIM. I'd not be ABLE to speak!

Probably, Michiba-san, but more likely I'd melt into a puddle on the floor. Hmmm, maybe he'd scoop me up with his hanky and stick me in his pocket....
