Not to be a party pooper but it was kinda private. I would be fine with it being read if I won but I'm not sure I want anyone else reading it otherwise.

How about if it is pm'd to us? I can definitely respect your wishes for privacy, Arrianna. It's not ever my intent to be nosy or to intrude on your deepest feelings. Whatever you want. Everyone knows my feelings for Sakai-san. I'm happy that you participated in the contest so that's all that matters.

One day late, but nevertheless...
THE RESULTS
I narrowed this contest down to two entries pretty quickly. These two really stood out in my mind as fantastic, because they were well written and contained a lot of heart.
Mickster and ironchefcanadian both entered fantastic essays as to who their favorite Iron Chef was. As expected, Mickster wrote about Iron Chef Sakai, while ironchefcanadian wrote about Michiba. I was very impressed with both entries. Both explained who they chose and why, and were very detailed as to why the Iron Chef they chose stood out as the best.
Content wise, the entries were equal. So, it was tough. I had to base my final decision on presentation and grammar, which is not something I wanted to do. However, IronChefCanadian's entry was very impressive when it came to these categories, which is why I am declaring IRONCHEFCANDADIAN the winner of the competetition!
Here is the winning entry:
If I had to name a favorite Iron Chef, I'd probably go with the first Iron Chef Japanese, Rokusaburo Michiba.
Why?
First, I'm a big fan of linear art, and a man who takes the time to do a calligraphic menu as part of the competition is a man who works well under tense conditions. There's an old say that the man who masters himself can master his work, and I've learned firsthand that writing things down goes a long way towards keeping things organized.
Second, there's the quality of grace under fire. But Sakai and Chen have a tendency to get emotional at particularly stressful times during cooking, but I've never seen that from Michiba, not during the limited number of episodes I've seen of him. (I've only seen a couple of episodes with Morimoto, one with Nakamura and none whatsoever of Kobe, so it's hard to judge with those three.) A man with that kind of focus is clearly one to admire.
Third, there's the quality of his opponents. Even a rival of the caliber of Kandagawa has shown tremendous respect for Michiba's talents. We don't see that high level of respect from Club Mistral, the Ota Faction or Heichinrou. It says something that someone like Kandagawa is compelled to pay tribute to Michiba when Michiba falls ill.
Michiba is, first and foremost, a man of respect and a chef of quality. He is the Iron Chef all others look up to, and that is why I feel I must call him a favorite. --------
So, ICC, please PM me the ingredient you wish to be the theme for the tenth site RPG. Please consider the occassion and make it a great battle!
Thanks to everyone who participated, and congrats to the winner icc and the runner-up Mickster! If you would like your entry posted, let me know. If you would like to make a change to the entry before I post it, I'd be more than happy to do so.
