(I'm missing my Sakai-san, sigh. Poor Sakai doll can't take much more of me cuddling and primping him. Wonder where to get information on Sakai's whereabouts, what is he doing, where will he be appearing, something, some information.....I've written to him but, no answer. I sent an e-mail to Mr. Katsuyama, too, and no reply from him. But my love is true and unconditional. Someday I may have my prayer answered and meet Chef Sakai. All I want for now is a recent photo, thank goodness for the photos in the Stella site and for the documentary of his visit. I must make plans to visit New Orleans next year if he will be there. Sigh, I miss Sakai so much. Well, at least I have my thoughs for now.)

I'm going to seriously plan to go to New Orleans, just in case he does go back there next year. Lord knows I'll never get to Japan. Regardless, if some or even one of the IC's go to NO next year, we should try to make a convention of it.......!

Mickey sighs shyly as she gazes into Sakai's deep, dark eyes. hmmmm. (A slight smile curves his lips.)

Gently, Sakai takes Mickey's hand in his and leads her to a soft, plush, plumb colored suede sofa. Please have a seat, he say to her (in a soft voice). I would like to serve you some of my special tea. Mickey could feel her heart begin to beat a little faster. Sakai-san sat on the sofa next to her and instructed his waiter to bring tea and some of his homemade cookies. When they arrived, Sakai poured the tea into beautiful lavender and cream colored porcelain cups. The aroma from the tea was so fragrant it quickly filled Mickey's senses and she became light-headed. Plus the fact that Sakai-san was sitting so close also had an effect. Can this be real or am I dreaming? Mickey asked herself. If I'm dreaming, I hope I don't wake up.

As the morning began to wind down, Sakai-san again took Mickey's hand in his. Would you like to go somewhere special with me? he asked her. Yes, Mickey answered, I'd love to. The two of them left La Rochelle and climbed into Sakai-san's Rolls. He headed out of the city toward the country hills. All the trees were turning colors of red, gold and even a pretty orange. There were birds of all kind flying in flock and heading south for the winter. About half an hour later Sakai turned onto a private road and drove about a mile before coming to a parking lot that had a dozen other cars parked there already. We're here, he said. Where? Mickey asked. You'll soon see, Sakai answered. There were no signs anywhere to let her know where they were, so Mickey took Sakai-san's hand and they walked to the entrance of a large green building that was almost lost by the background of trees. When they entered the building a uniformed man greeted them. Sakai-san presented Mickey as his guest and the man shook her hand then wished them a good day. The lobby of the building was large but the decor was friendly, furnished with colorful seating areas, a long information desk, and separate desks with state of the art computers on them, where people could sit and work. Sakai-san led the way to the elevator, the door opened automatically, as if it knew they were there. Soft music seemed to come out of the walls of the elevator as they rode to the fourth floor. When they reached their destination and the elevator door opened, there was another uniformed man who greeted them. Welcome Chef Sakai, he said. We have been waiting for you. Then he said, Welcome, Mickey. It is our pleasure that you are visiting us. Thank you, Mickey said. The man led them down a long hallway to a door that was painted bright red. When they entered, Mickey was absolutely amazed at what she saw. The look on her face made Sakai-san break out with gleeful laughter!
