Another game that I picked up from the same board that I found the "Wheel of..." game. The Rules: 1. We are voting on the chef when he made his first appearence at Kitchen Stadium(both in Japan and America, witchever came first). 2. Even though there are both ICJ and ICA chefs here, we will be dealing with the ICJ rules for this game. 3. If you don't know a chef, then don't vote. 4. Don't be biased. If I feel that this has happened, I can and will disallow your vote. 5. I reserve the right to ban your votes from the game if I feel that you are cheating in any way. Now that that's out of the way, here's how the game works. Each day, witch starts at NOON Central time, I will select four chefs from the list below and have them go up against four Iron Chefs in four battles with four different secret ingredients. You vote for the winner in that "battle". If the challenger wins, he can stay, and if the Iron Chef wins twice against the challenger, the challenger is eliminated. You will notice that I will put numbers in () after each day. That number will be their record, and Iron Chefs will not be eliminated. There will be a winner and a loser, so no overtime. A legal vote for each battle is like this: [Battle] [winner] [Chef's vote tally up to that point] [whatever comments that you would like to make, but keep it brief] And without futher ado, here are the lists: Challengers Toshiro Kandagawa Kenji Asuma Artur Rutter Bernard Lublans Dominique Colbi Franco Canzonierre Ichio Goto Guy Jacques Yukio Hattori Alan Passard Koji Kobayashi Kazuhiko Tei Koyko Kagata Weikei Lon Kentaro Katsuyo Kobayashi Jack Porry Ron Seigel Tadamichi Ota Lin Kunbi Michael Nobel Shin Fujita Hiromi Yoneda Stephano Tabacci Etsuo Jo
Iron Chefs Chen Kenichi Masaharu Morimoto Hiroyuki Sakai Bobby Flay Mario Batali Cat Cora Koumei Nakamura Rokusaburo Michiba Masahiko Kobe Yutake Ishinabe
Theme Ingredients Girl's Festival(Chefs must make dishes to complment the holiday) Bamboo Shoots American Kobe Beef Fatty Tuna Truffles Lamb Udon Soba Abalone Duck Ham Sea Bass Blue Footed Chicken Pizza Dough Sea Urchin Roe Eggplant Milk Octopus Salmon Bell Pepper

Battle 1 Ron Seigel Seigel 1, Flay 0 I think Seigel would be better prepared for this theme.
Battle 2 Mario Batali Rutter 0, Batali 1 Mario has shown great adapatability
Battle 3 Masahiko Kobe Passard 0, Kobe 1 Kobe only because he'd be more familiar with the ingredient.
Main Event Chen Kenichi Ota 0, Chen 1 Ota's good, but I think Chen is more flexible.

Battle 1: Seigel over Flay. Seigel: 3, Flay: 0 The fact that both of these chefs are americans gives them both a disadvantage. The key to winning the battle would be the research that they would have done before the battle.
Battle 2: Rutter over Batali Rutter: 1, Batali: 2 While I do agree that Mario has very good creativity, I do feel that sometimes not being familar with the ingredient does have it's advantages.
Battle 3 Kobe over Passard Kobe: 3, Passard: 0 The reason why Kobe has an edge in this battle is not because of his talents, but because of the theme itself. Udon dough is different from the pasta dough that Italian chefs use, and thus would provide different flavors for his pasta dishes.
Main Event Ota over Chen Ota: 1, Chen: 2 Tamachi Ota didn't win over Sakai for nothing. However, octopus aside, this american ingredient will test both chef's skills.

Update- The first round of battles are over, and we have intregueing results. Sweeps all around as Kentaro seeks his revenge against the Gourmet Academy by continuing the legacy of the Iron Chef Slayer, and his mother defeating Iron Chef Nakamura with a theme that does the body good. The Iron Chef’s wins against Hattori and Goto practically tied up the overall day.
Note to Achen: I’m giving you a warning about possible cheating by copying HC’s votes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for agreement, but as Gen. Patton once said, If everybody is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking. I’m not being overly critical, but atleast explain how you came to your conclusions. It’s legal if you keep the comments brief.
