Feast of Fishes night. Takoyaki (bought frozen - octopus balls) Angels on Horseback (oysters in bacon) Crab Wontons Sauteed Squid in Olive oil with onions and garlic Paella Misoyaki Salmon Shioyaki smelts

Wow, eiko, that sounds great.....I can't tell you how long it's been since I've eaten smelts....
As for today, we're going traditional - the turkey is in the oven right now, coming up on half-done.

Roasted half a duck, rubbed with salt, pepper, lemon zest and olive oil (just a touch), over a bed of unpeeled garlic cloves and rough-cut carrots and onions. It worked out pretty well.
