Now that was a delicious battle. And the ingredient was!
BREAKFAST!!! That's right, breakfast. They had sausage, bacon, bread, OJ, maple syrup, and eggs to work from and the offerings were intense.
Every dish looked sooooooooo good. I recorded it last night and watched it this morning before eating. Talk about torture.
Now I want to try that rice, sausage and bacon dish. What was it called?

That was by far one of my favorite ICA battles. Excellent dishes all around- I wanted to jump through the television screen and eat everything. Is it just me, or is this season of ICA much better than previous seasons?

They seem to be hitting their stride. The judges are also taking their job much more seriously.

I think that it is called jook. It is congee flavored with sausage and bacon. It is not hard to make but not something I would make often.

I completely forgot about this battle. What a great theme ingredient!

Hubby and I were both drooling during the entire battle and tasting......the dishes from both sides looked fantastic.
