Here it comes....the spoiler of this 'spicy' battle! You've been warned.... Yesterday Secret Ingredient was: [glow=red,2,300] CHILES![/glow] Morimoto-san, just familiarize himself some chiles, so needed to win this battle. His dishes says it all. As far as Chef Love concerns, he can have his hat and wear it too.

Morimoto just can't seem to catch a break, can he? He has yet to achieve more wins than losses on ICA, if the Wikipedia stats are anything to go by.

I sure felt for Mo last night when the ingredient was announced. The funny moment of the night was when Mo bit into the jalapeno and nearly gagged on it.
I hope Mo isn't too disappointed in the outcome; just keeping it that close against a challenger who's far more familiar with the ingredient is an accomplishment.

This battle was totally stacked up against Iron Chef Morimoto. I guess it happens, though.
The jalapeno bite was hilarious, BTW.

How did the challenger win on orinality? What's so original about posole or chile relleno, which of course always has chile in it! And the cake, while delicious looking, has become a standard offering by many chefs. Maybe it was the drinks. And i thought his plating was ugly, especially that bandana with all the junk on the plate.
