Okay.... you want to know why I love Masahiko Kobe so much? I'll tell you. *Takes deep breath*
1) He's cute.
2) He's the Prince of Pasta. I love pasta. It's because of him that I started cooking pasta in creative ways.
3) He's cute.
4) The way he runs to get the secret ingredient.... that shows excitement. He loves to cook. It's obvious.
5) He's really cute.
6) The Daikon radish incident. It's just adorable.
7) Did I mention how cute he is?
As you can see.... Kobe's just amazing. Please... add your comments. Share the Kobe love! ;D

Kobe is the guy hubby would like to have cook fo his birthday party - regardless of the cute factor. For that matter, I'd love to have him cook for me on my birthday......hubby and I are both pasta lovers. I also love the ingredient dash, and the story behind how that came to be. My favourite Kobe episode (you might remember this, KF15) is the pumpkin battle - I still drool every time I think about the caponata he made.....

I think I remember that episode. They showed it in October a lot. If Kobe ever cooked for me.... oooh. That would rock more than anything!

Let me quote the interview with Kobe in the IC book:
"Yes, the start dash, that looks pretty meaningless, but it is in fact a very important time saver. During my first battle, I took my sweet time choosing my ingredients. After the taping, Mr. Matsuo said to me, 'What was that start dash? Are you an old man or what?' I had been in the track and field team in high school and had confidence in my running abilities. So from the second battle, I ran around as fast as I could. I started the mad dash for these stupid reasons, but in truth there are times when you are five seconds short to completion. It's at those times you wish that you had saved more time earlier. People often question me about what that start dash is all about, but there is a legitimate reason to it."

KF15, I think, just think, am not for sure, but Christine at Restaurant Stella mentioned that some of the Iron Chefs from Japan may be visiting Stella's next year, and I though she said maybe Kobe-san. You might want to send her an e-mail and ask. Christine is very generous with the information and she reads this site, I'm sure. It would be awesome to get to see him.

Can you give me the site address? That would be wickedly awesome if he came to the US. ;D ;D
