Love the stuff. Great on its own or as part of a fruit salad. Makes a great "upside down" cake, too.

It's one of my favorite fruits. I often brush it with apricot jelly and brown sugar then grill it. Serve it over angel food cake, with whipped cream. Mmm!

UUUMMMMM!!!! When in Hawaii you must buy the prepackaged pineapple, which they sell on the streets, drug stores, everywhere, in plastic bags. It is from fresh fruit that has been cleaned and sliced into spears. AWESOME.

It must be very new. He was only thinking about it a couple years ago. He was also supposesd to be thinking of putting one in Dallas, TX. DALLAS, YUK! [glow=red,2,300]Does anybody have any information about Sakai's restaurant in Hawaii?[/glow]

Misstee, that site was done a couple years ago. I don't think Sakai-san has a restaurant in Hawaii yet. I've sent many e-mails to the address shown, too, and never got a reply from anyone.

No need for more then grilling if it's fresh. So sweet and juicy! mmmmm!!! I like to grill pineapple rings and eat them on fresh grilled burgers. A little fresh avacado and it's perfect.
