Fukui: So, Kandagawa chose Iron Chef Morimoto. Head chef of "Nobu" in New York, Morimoto is leading a new wave of "Neo-Japanese" cuisine. Blending Japanese and American flavors, Morimoto never holds back, sometimes using outlandish ingredients in his dishes. Kaga: A revenger, back again to claim his place at the throne of Kitchen Stadium. Challenger Kandagawa, if only you loved my Iron Chefs a bit more, things would be much easier around here for all of us. Love. It is this very factor that helped me decide on today's theme ingredient. It is known to be an aphrodisiac, causing love for many upon consumption. Maybe it will help Kandagawa love my Iron Chefs- only time will tell. Just keep in mind this is NOT a desert battle. *Smiles* We unveil the ingredient! (Rising up from the floor in a cloud of fog and smoke arises the theme. Both chefs stare on in surprise.) Today's theme is... CHOCOLATE!CHALLENGER TOSHIRO KANDAGAWA VS. IRON CHEF JAPANESE MASAHARU MORIMOTO Challenger Toshiro Kandagawa, the "don" of Japanese cuisine in the West, taking on Iron Chef Japanese Masaharu Morimoto. Kandagawa, a man all about tradition, Morimoto a daring adventurer- who will emerge triumphant? The theme? Chocolate! The battle is set, let's get it on! Kaga: Allez Cuisine! (The Gong of Fate sounds- the battle begins!) NOTE: Time limit: One Hour The chef who offers the dishes that best articulate the theme ingredient is the winner. In case of a tie, there will be a thirty minute overtime battle. There are three types of chocolate to be used as the theme, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. At least half of the chefs' dishes have to be main courses- the other half may be deserts. Post ------------------- This battle will go on a few days, so do your best. If you get a PM from Ohta-san, please answer promptly. Have fun! ------------------- End

Ohta: Fukui-San!!, reporting from the floor, I asked Iron Chef, Morimoto-San, what he thinks about being challenged by Kandagawa-San, and he said "Kandagawa is a powereful challenger, and I hope to win". Also Kandagawa didn't look too happy when the theme ingredient was unveiled, back to you, Fukui-San.
