Ota (Scuu-san, the chefs are now beginning to plate their food. This has been one of the most exciting battles yet. I was back talking to Kentaro's mother and she is on pins and needles. The magnificent IC Sakai has entered kitchen stadium and said that this is a very exciting battle. Sakai-san has taken a seat in the royal box.)

Ota - (Fukee-san, I'm here in the Royal box with IC Sakai who is sitting next to Author Himura. Sakai-san has also read Himura's best seller book and is excited about talking to Himura-san. I overheard IC Sakai tell Himura that he has also and is a fan of the book, and has given a copy to each of his employees to read. Ironically, IC Sakai has a copy of the book with him and, humbly asks Himura to autograph the book.)

5 MINUTES TO GO!
Fukui: Looks like this one is winding down now. We're in the final inning of this battle, and just as Ohta said, both chefs are beginning to plate their dishes. Doc, now we can get a clear picture as to what these chefs are doing. What do you think of the end product so far?
Post --------------- Chefs, please PM me a list of your dishes, with a brief description of each. Make the descriptions appear exactly as you want Fukui to read them, so please proofread and do not write in first person. Thanks! --------------- End

Well both chefs have drawn on the Medditeranean for inspiration, Chen with his Gazpacho and Pork Stuffed Tomatoes and Kentaro with... well just about his entire menu.
The thing that has interested me about this battle is actually the similarities in the chefs menu's. Both have chosen to make a Beef & Tomato Stew and both have chosen to prepare pasta dishes, Chen's Chicken and Tomato LoMein and Kentaro's Potato Gnocchi and Pasta Arrabiata. Both have even made 6 dishes.
I have to say I would love to try all of the Iron Chefs menu. Especially the Hot Chili Prawns and Tomato Fried Rice. I believe he said it was his fathers recipe?
However I would say the most creative dishs of the day would be a tie between using soba noodles in a Pasta Arrabiata and the tomato, basil, and pine nut sorbet made by the challenger. Since Kentaro also choose to stirfry the Kobe Beef for his Kobe Beef & Roasted Tomato Stew (taking the chance of making it tough) we'll just have to see if all the risks he took have paid off.
I don't envy the judges today. What do you think Kanoh? Looking forward to the tasting?

Kentaro: <assistant fetches dishes that will be used for presentation.>
I'm preparing the ciabatta bread for bruschetta and my assistant is slicing some delicious fresh mozzerella imported today from Italy.
The Roasted Tomato and Kobe Beef stew is in the earthenware pot and it's done.
I'm going to get the gnocci and pasta ready for the boil.
Gotto hustle! Come on, assistants, hustle! Hustle!

1 MINUTE TO GO!
Fukui: Okay, we're heading down the final stretch now. Challenger Kentaro, back for a grudge match against Chen Kenichi, has pulled out all the guns and went all the way with his menu, even encorporating different styles of cuisine in his dishes. Iron Chef Chen, once again defending his honor against the Kobayashi family, using all his skills to pull this one off. Looks like both chefs are into their plating now, but they only have a cool sixty seconds to bring it all together.

Ota - (Sku-san, the chefs are finished with their plating and have some seconds to spare. IC Chen is mopping his forehead, he really worked hard today. Our challenger, Kentaro-san is looking relieved that the battle is over but now comes the real test, the tasting. I will head over to the challenger's side for a quick interview, once the gong has sounded the finish.
