Kurimoto: This. Is. Great. It's a great way to end the meal, and it tastes wonderful. Very refreshing. Also, the mint leaves are a nice touch.
Kaga: Kurimoto-san, what do you think of Iron Chef Kobe's dishes overall?
Kurimoto: Overall? I think they're some of the best dishes I've ever had. I think you may have given Michiba-san a run for his money today!

This is one dish where lobster deserves to play second fiddle. The texture of the lobster clashes with the gelato, but it is a plesant contrast, and the mint adds a nice touch of color to the dish. A marvelous job.

Judy Wong - This is a very refreshing drink and it DOES cleanse the palet. I have enjoy all the dishes you've presented in this battle, IC Kobe. Very well done.

Takata: This is nice and refreshing. The mint leaves are a nice touch as well. I'm not a fan of the appearance though. The red dye just feels "wrong" with the delicate flavor.

JUDGMENT
Kaga: Today's battle was fought between a current Iron Chef and an Honorary Iron Chef. Both men displayed amazing skills in today's match, experience and youth fighting to see which could best the other. It was a close match... several judges turned in tied scores. However, there is no need for an overtime battle. Here's the verdict.
Fukui: Honorary Iron Chef Japanese Rokusaburo Michiba coming back to Kitchen Stadium to challenge the youngest of all Iron Chefs, Iron Chef Italian Masahiko Kobe. The theme was lobster, and both chefs created amazing pieces of culinary art. But which will prevail, experience or youth? Who takes it? Whose cuisine reigns supreme?
Kaga: Iron Chef Masahiko Kobe!
Fukui: He did it! The youngest of all Iron Chefs toppled the oldest and wisest Iron Chef of all! Amazing! Here are the scores for the battle:
Michiba: Himura-15 Takata-18 Wong-19 Kurimoto-18 Total: 70
Kobe: Himura-17 Takata-18 Wong-19 Kurimoto-20 Total: 74
Fukui: It was a close match, but in the end Kobe pulled ahead and grabbed the victory, proving that, at least today, youth can outmatch experience. Both chefs did great, but the "V" goes to Iron Chef Italian Masahiko Kobe!

Post ---------------- Great job, everybody! That has to be my favorite of all the IC RPGs so far. Sign-up for the next RPG will begin soon, once everyone has had ample time to see the results of this one. Until then, why don't we go to Ohta for some interviews? ---------------- End

Ohta - Fu-san, I'm back up in the royal box to do some interviews with some of our vip celebrities. The noise is mind-boggling but I will grab whomever I can before they leave. Looks like (no relation to me) Ota wants to talk. What's up Ota-san? Ota-san - I just want to say this was a great battle between the Iron Chefs. Even I was impressed but I know I can provide a true Japanese chef that will definitely kick IC Kobe's butt. Just give me a chance!!! Ohta - Ok, Ota-san. Thank you for that (cough) comment. Now I see Chef Scott Boswell from New Orleans. Chef Scott, how did you like today's battle. Chef Scott - It was awesome. IC (Ret) Michiba is truly a god of Japanese cuisine, and I'm so impressed by him, just to be in his presence. IC Kobe is fantastic. He is still very young but has such wonderous talent that his future as a great chef is guaranteed. Otha - Thank you Chef Scott, btw, good to see you here in Tokyo, enjoy you visit with us. Now on to Kandagawa-san. Kandagawa-san - I have had a very fun time at today's battle. My vote was for Michiba-san, but IC Kobe won fair and square. Yes, very good battle. I'm planning to bring my boys back soon to challenge Kobe-san. Ohta- Well, Phooey-san, looks like these are the only celebs I can get close enough to to inverview. All the IC's are swarmed by autograph hounds, Kaga-san is literally being carried off by some ladies who want to kiss on him, Sakai-san is in a deep conversation with his Ichiban fan and asked not to be disturbed, the tasting panel is off getting more to eat. So, I will toss it back to you, and join the tasting panel. Until next time, good night Japan and America.
