Nice to check back in on this site to see some activity. I looked for the Mr. Iron Chef 1994 special on Youtube and could not find it. Does anyone have a link?

It pains me so much that the theme song has to be muted on YouTube.
I hope we get a proper release of ICJ someday and that the rights for the Backdraft music are properly sorted to enable its inclusion. It’s such a key element of the show for me.

Wow! I had been waiting almost since I started watching the show on Food Network to see that - many thanks! You're most welcome. I do periodic (twice a week) searches on YouTube for new ICJ videos and found these hours after they had been posted. I didn't realize what they were until I saw Michiba-san and Kandagawa-san doing battle and then it hit me - holy moly, this is what we've been searching for for so long. The only battles still out there are Rice (1994), Swordfish (1995) and Avocado (1995), as well as the Hong Kong special (1995).

The Hong Kong special would be of special interest, since Jackie Chan was a judge. Snippets of that episode can be found in some of the 1995 episodes that aired on Food Network.
I should note that although Battle Bread (1994) is on Youtube somewhere, the episode in its entirety hasn't been located (at least to my knowledge).

Yes, I uploaded my copy from the Pony Canyon VHS series: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yImsh6-LhwAIt is a terrific battle, IMHO. According to Matt Stillman, the person who brought ICJ (and "Good Eats") to Food Network, it's impossible to air the Hong Kong Special on television here because the PRC has the proprietary right to block its airing in the USA (and elsewhere).

I hope we get a proper release of ICJ someday and that the rights for the Backdraft music are properly sorted to enable its inclusion. It’s such a key element of the show for me. A fair number of the ICJ videos on my YouTube channel have been blocked for viewing to about 9% of the world audience, mostly the USA. This is because Hans Zimmer's organization has asserted its copyright claim to the "Backdraft" audio sample utilized in the beginning of each episode. I was able to mute the offending audio snippet from most of these flagged videos, but when YouTube switched its Studio mode, most reappeared in the banned bin. The new version of Studio doesn't seem to be able to successfully edit out these audio snippets, so I'm stuck. This is a major reason why I am now offering my episodes for download here.

I for one am sad that the ironcheffans.info site got mostly defanged of its original content. I remember working between tetsujin070561 and tuthead years ago (I still have those emails from 2010 and 2011) trying to collect some of the older episodes.
Tetsujin070561, thanks again for sharing what you been able to over the last 10 years with the community and I am glad to have stumbled across both you and Tuthead. Finding you two restirred my interest in dusting off my collection of episodes (which I didn't realize totaled 80 GB worth)...so I am going back and recataloging things.

Just out of curiosity,
Do you have a few of the hard to find 1996 battles (Garlic, Duck and Orange)? I have been looking for these for the longest.

Yes, many of the impossible-to-find battles were uploaded to YouTube a few years ago. They are no longer available there (at least to USA viewers), but I will upload them for you.

One thing I wanted to ask about the mega.nz files: did anyone else have the download not finish (browser window close unexpectedly during download)? I have been trying to download the black tiger prawn battle and have been unsuccessful twice now where it would get to 1 GB and then not finish.
