Maybe you should set a forum chat time? There is so few of us that without a set time to meet we just might never chat.

Good point - most of the times I'm on there's no one else around.

I've thought about doing that- semi-regular "scheduled" chats. The problem is, it's hard for some people to make a commitment like that with real life going on. Would anyone else be interested, and if so, what times are good for you?

I can't believe I am going to say this (since I love chat) but that feature is really annoying. It keeps stealing the curser while I'm typing. Next thing I know I'm signing into chat as "and I think that" or some other such nonsense.

yah, you should get a shout box instead of a chat room

Hmmm... it's not causing any problems on my end. Let me experiment with it, and I'll get back to you.

Okay, I've moved the chat into its own board now, so it won't be on the global header/footer. This means you have to go to the site chat board to participate- that should end any problems you guys are having with the cursor/buttons. Also, you have to be logged in to see the board, so random people can't join the chat. Overall, I think this is a change for the better. What do you guys think?

Thanks, MA. I wasn't going to say anything, because I figured it was just me, but while the chat thing was in the global footer I kept having my browser lock up/crash. The problem only started after the chat feature was added, and it only happened on this site. Now that it's moved, I've had no trouble on the site.

The chat having its own board was a good idea. It really slowed down the site for me before.
