Katsuyo Kobayashi. Is it hardcover?
I just got Alton Brown's baking cookbook. It is more scientific than most but it is great.

Yep it's hardcover. I have Alton Browns Baking book as well. I love it. Baking never made sense to me until he completely demystified it. Just one of those people who want to know why I guess. I hope you bought a second or more edition? The first edition had a huuuge list of typo's. He was pretty unhappy about it.

Hey, Katsuyo Kobayashi's cook book! Great find, Arrianna. She was one of my favorite challengers on ICJ.
I'm not really the biggest chef, but Alton Brown is one of my favorite personalities on Food Network. Maybe that's because I love science.

I checked out Kobayashi's book at my local library last fall. I didn't cook anything from the book, but it was a very nice cookbook that I'd like to check out again.

"the perfect scoop" by David Lebovitz is really good. Have you seen his blog? I'm too lazy to link it, but you can google it. He puts good recipes on there sometimes too.

I have to admit I laughed when I saw the logo. The recipes looked very much like the home cooking they advertised as well. I like that.
