Laptops. I like being able to go outside with it and still surf the net. The desktop will eventually be phased out, I think.

Laptops aren't necessarily faster - the desktop I'm currently using has 2 gigs of RAM......
I like the portability of laptops, and the reliability of desktops.

I like laptops. I personally want one, but I'm stuck with a desktop and can't get my hands away from the keyboard. At least if I had a laptop, I could take it with me and work on things while I was out of the house.

How's your Dell laptop doing? Did you get the problems with the screen and the sound fixed? I had to purchase another computer. It was cheaper than the cost of the repairs!

I'm sorry to hear that AC, did you have a warranty on it? We've had to do almost 800$ in reparis on mine in the past two years, however it was all covered by the extended warranty. The warranty was expired. I now know to always go with a 3 year warranty.

I hate laptops. I prefer desktops. But I bought the twins a laptop to share for school work. I hate the keyboard and the trackpad on laptops. And my old mac is faster than the new pc laptop.

I love our iMac; if I was going to buy a laptop, I'd get an Apple Powerbook. That said, the only complaint I have about my IBM ThinkPad work laptop is that the sound card no longer works. I think it's less than 2 years old, too, which strikes me as a bit too new to have something like that go wrong.
