Hey everybody,
Site contest number two is now officially over, and I'm proud to say that there indeed will be a third site contest.
I'm open to suggestions for this one. Anyone have any good ideas to throw out there? The requirements are that the contest has to be Iron Chef-related, and anybody should be able to play.
The prizes for the winner of the contest (first place only gets prizes) will be:
-The choice of the theme ingredient for the upcoming Iron Chef RPG (upcoming as of the date of the contest's ending) -A custom member title and color to show off on the boards until the next site contest
I also need suggestions as to what I should give my moderators if one of them should win the contest. They can't have the second prize above, and making animated avatars is really time-consuming, so ideas are welcome.
So there are the requirements- what do you guys think? What kind of contest would you like to see next?

Is anyone up for a photo shop contest? I've participated in one, and it was fun. I think it's a good idea, but feel free to criticize it as you see fit. We could even do a IC slide show, using Windows Movie Maker, or Power Point. Tell me what you all think.

I don't know about movie maker or power point but I would be up to a photoshop contest.... *whistles* lol Seriously, it's a good idea. Especially if you provide the one (or more) picture that has to be manipulated in order to provide a level playing field for those who don't have some of the graphics the rest of us have. I would be happy to provide some images if you need them.

Hmmm... I like the Photoshop idea. Maybe we could make the goal to turn an ordinary Iron Chef picture into something hilarious. I think you guys are on to something.

I think this would be fun. The only problem is I don't have photo shop. I had a free trial, but that's well over now. Is there any place I could download it for free?

Well, it doesn't necessarily have to be photoshop. There are other programs that are just as good. "Picture It" comes standard with new versions of Windows, and that one's pretty good. And MSPaint (also on every Windows), while primitive at a glance, can be very powerful if you know what you're doing. Also, Google offers it's "Picasa" software free. picasa.google.com/ I heard it's great.

There's also GIMP gimp.org/windows/It's free and the closest thing there is to photoshop. There is also Paint.NET www.getpaint.net/index.html Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Server 2003. It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools. Either should give you what you need and they're free.

I was thinking of something really cute with a Sakai pic. Plus, my new copy machine is also a scanner, so I could probably incorporate use of it as well, right?

Great. Thanks, guys, I never knew there were so many other programs like these. I just downloaded GIMP. It's great. Give me some time to learn it, and I'll be fine.
