At least you're accustomed to Christmas being in the summer - I think it would be rather an adjustment for me.

I'd like to spend Christmas in Winter - then it would be worth having a traditional Christmas lunch. We usually have fish, cold meats and salad, because it's usually too hot to cook up a hot meal.

OK, so you'd be willing to trade warmth outside for a hot Christmas dinner of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cooked veggies, etc., just for a change of pace. Interesting, I'd never really thought about it that way. Even when we lived in Arizona we always had the "traditional" Christmas meal. That said, I'm sure it's much warmer in Oz right now than Arizona is this time of year. As for salad, it's not unusual for me to have a molded (jellied) salad with a holiday meal. In fact, I made "Molded Waldorf" to contribute to Christmas dinner at our friend's house.

I sure would - Id love to experience the whole "white Christmas" thing - even if it was freezing cold outside. It's not real fun having christmas in 40C heat (nearly 100F for you guys) - you don't feel like doing anything because it's so hot

Believe me, KK, I know what you mean about the heat...
To be sure of getting a white Christmas, you'd have to travel pretty far north, and stay inland (the water moderates the air temperatures at the coasts and they get more rain than snow). As an English-speaker, you'd probably be best off in Canada or the northern half of the US for a white Christmas. And, if it isn't beastly cold, you can enjoy outdoor activities like building a snowman, cross-country skiing, sledding, or snowshoeing.

that's ok, HC. The summer weather here hasn't cranked up to it's full power yet - that usually happens late Jan or so - than that's the time I wish I was in a cold zone

Gotcha. That makes sense, since January/February are generally the coldest part of our winter.
