That's really interesting, Arrianna. Thanks for sharing.

I made something new (for me) tonight - we had baked ziti. Hubby has been after me to make it because he's such a fan of The Sopranos, to the point that he even found three recipes for it online. I tried one of them and it was delicious. Better yet, there's enough left over for tomorrow.

Chicken wings tonight - bbq style. Rice for a side because there'll be lots of sauce to pour over.

Pasta with mushrooms -- that Jamie Oliver technique really works well!

This has been a chicken week (wings Monday, lemon pepper chicken Tuesday and yesterday) so far, but tonight we're switching to steak (bought on sale, of course) and potato skins.

And tonight, I'm trying out something called Casa Rio chili, in which beef and pork cubes are boiled (no browning) along with garlic, cumin, black pepper, serrano and ancho peppers. The recipe comes from Robb Walsh's The Tex Mex Cookbook, with two changes: I'm adding beans (horrors!) and I'm using cornstarch and water (instead of shortening and flour) to thicken.

Back to chicken last night with parmesan wings. Today has turned into a late-breakfast-midafternoon-snacking-who-knows-what-will-be-for-dinner kind of day.
