Mabo dofu, based on Stephen Yan's Chinatown recipe. (Turns out Jamie Oliver's "flavour shaker" does a swell job on Szechuan peppercorns.)

No definite plans yet, but probably something light/snacky while we watch the basketball game.

Well, I'm now trying to adapt Heston Blumenthal's recipe for spag bol.
I've got pork riblets and oxtail stewing with pulsed carrot, celery and onion in diluted milk, in the slow cooker. When I get back from skating this afternoon I'll shred the meat and get some tomatoes stewing with basil, parsley, L&P and a touch of Tabasco in a Dutch oven. After a couple of hours I'll combine them both before making the spaghetti.
Granted, it's a bit more elaborate than opening a jar of Ragu, but doing this sort of thing is always worth it, wouldn't you say?

If one has the time to make things from scratch, it's definitely worth it. I honestly wish I had more time to cook, because I enjoy it.

Swiss Steak with baked potato. I bought the meat on sale and after being sick so much it's nice to eat a full meal again.

Got home later than normal, so we had sandwiches for a quick dinner.
