Arrianna, that is an exciting idea, using Neutchatel cheese in your ice cream. I need to try it. That recipe sounds good.

Arrianna, that is an exciting idea, using Neutchatel cheese in your ice cream. I need to try it. That recipe sounds good. Thanks. I can't remember why I tried it but it worked out very well. The softer room temperature made it easier to blend in. Now, any chance of this recipe that AC keeps mentioning?

My ice cream recipe is in the recipe thread. It's pretty basic. But I use very low carb items. I live a low carb lifestyle. In place of milk I use Edge low carb drink, it comes in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and a variety of other flavors. Use the entire carton, 11 oz., heat it to almost boil, mix in a blend of beaten eggs and splenda, heat until thicken, stiring constantly with a wooden spoon. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract and chill mixture for at least three hours. Remove from fridge. Beat heavy whipping cream in separate bowl until thick, add splenda to taste, pour in your egg mix and beat with mixer. Pour entire mixture into frozen ice cream mixer bowl and while it's churning I add fruit or whatever. Last time I had some no carb blueberry jam. I'm going to make apricot this week.

Mickster, did you know that Splenda can be very bad for you, and has known to make people extremely sick? I'm not saying you should give up your Splenda lifestyle, but it is known to be a very dangerous ingredient, even reported to be a carcinogen. Most notably it damages the thymus gland, which is part of the immune system.

Hmmm, I will check into that for sure, MA, because I do use it quite a lot. I have to go see my doctor on the 19th, she knows absolutely everything so I will ask her. It's made from sugar. How did you learn about it, MA?

lol! Sorry, it's not really good for processor speed. You'll just have to make it yourself.

Did you know that today, July 13, is National Ice Cream Day? I made mine already this morning at 6 a.m. It's apricot cream. The mix is chillin and I will finish it in a few hours and freeze. Used some apricot jam, calorie/carb free, and I have some fresh apricots to chop up later and add in the machine. This is a new flavor for me.
