Gotta love this secret ingredient: Kampachi!Morimoto's whole kampachi grilled in that oven makes me want it. Even though Nicotra's dishes were great. Morimoto's was the best, giving him the 59-50 win in this battle.

The quality of the food from both competitors was great as you can tell by the score. I may be wrong but I think that is the highest scores for any battle. Morimoto was just one point away from a perfect mark.
I liked the way Nicotra and his team worked. They were all calm and collected throughout the entire battle. A very professional team!!!

Very interesting battle, for sure. Hubby thought the challenger was going to win on originality, but we agreed Mo would pull out the victory.

Wow, that was a spectacular display on the part of Iron Chef Morimoto.
It was a great battle, but at times it reminded me of Ishinabe's Christmas battle because it was so quiet and subdued.

Alton: *shhhh* we are in a church for food....
lol!
Just what I had been thinking. Mind you as soon as I saw that a "certain" judge wasn't on the panel I knew Morimoto would win. I didn't think he would win by that MUCH though. WOOT!
