I agree. Dubbing Chairman Kaga was a bad idea to begin with. I'm glad Food Network stopped after a few episodes.

Agreed. The early dubbing of Kaga was terrible.

If anything, Kent Frick was better than Duncan Hamilton.
But truly removing both of them was much, much better. I'd rather hear Kaga's voice from start to finish than hearing one of the two dubbers.

Has anyone been to digitaldistractions.org? They have torrents for tons of ICJ episodes there. I have maybe 40 or so episodes downloaded. No commercials, either. I haven't missed it being on TV because now I can watch it as I want. stage6.divx.com/Iron-ChefWe have many of the same episodes. (In fact, a lot of them probably came from DD.) And you don't have to mess with BT to get them.

Actually I kinda preferred Hamilton's delivery, since he was doing the early Michiba-era ones. You got the aura of discernment that's usually present in the educated gourmet, which helped a lot with the theme ingredient explanation segments. I find myself preferring the off-screen Kaga dubbing / on-screen Kaga subtitling. I think it's because the information being delivered is more important than the idea of who's doing the delivery.

Well, for Chairman Kaga dubbing, I like Kent Frick over Duncan Hamilton, and like ironchefcanadian, I like the off- screen dub (only with Kent Frick) and the on-screen sub.
But when it comes down to choosing who I like more, I found that Duncan Hamilton's voice was a bit too deep for Kaga, and I couldn't imagine him talking like that. Kent Frick, however, was the perfect voice for the job, IMO.
