Before we get any battle going, I'd like to say to ICC that I will get my revenge for that 9 you gave me on the last RPG using Chen-san as my instrument...
Good luck for I will give you my best.

This seems like it is going to be another great battle. But a chef that lost his taste and then gets it back. This sure is going to be interesting.

Oh, about that: if you want to know more about our challenger, have a look at the Ang Lee film EAT DRINK MAN WOMAN. The main protagonist is the character I'm using.

Real, in the context of this RPG. In Real Life (TM), he's fictional, a character in an Ang Lee movie played by an actor, the late Lung Sihung.
The movie itself is one to own for foodies; Lee's cinematographer does some nice work in filming food preparation.

The "menu" was created using a Wacom graphics tablet and Alias Sketchbook Pro. I'd like to apologize in advance for the crappy quality; Sketchbook Pro doesn't quite have the tools to simulate a proper brush pen.

Actually, you can:www.asianconnections.com/a/?article_id=372In fact, if you saw the movie Eat Drink Man Woman, there's a scene in which Jia-Cheng prepares just such a dumpling (though stuffed with different ingredients) for her boyfriend. The dish is called tsu-an tofu. The trick, here, is to use soft or "silken" tofu, cut the slices very thinly, and make sure the surface to be sealed is pretty wide (i.e. don't overstuff).

Looks like I was right about the soft tofu, it also looks like the cornstarch in the stuffing and then the steaming would create a seal.

I think I can answer this OOC, arrianna. To tell you the truth, this is one of the most pressured and involved battles that I've ever been in. I've spent a third of the battle alone gathering inspirations, and I feel that I'll put them to good use come judgement time.
