Probably not. I've checked many of the shopping sites in Japan and Asia and can't find anything. Never could

What a shame. It would make the business of getting episodes so much easier if they released it on DVD.

You can't believe how many times we've said the same thing on this site!

It would be up to Fuji TV to release the episodes, since they are the owner/producer. Perhaps they aren't interested, or don't think/realize what the market would be for the episodes. Another possibility is that they haven't been able to reach an agreement regarding royalties with the other concerned parties (like the chefs, Fukui-san, Hattori-san, etc.).

I think they know exactly what the market would be, which is probably almost none. (You'd be surprised at how little traffic my video site gets some days.) I would love to see DVD releases of the series, but I know it won't happen.

There is not much interest anymore. Just us die-hards!! But the Iron Chefs made out great from the era! If you follow his blog, Sakai-san, seems he is always putting on some kind of show in Japan and other parts of the world. He travels a lot. He also has many chef friends in the states and makes appearances for them!

Hello all. New here but very happy to have found this forum! Sadly, I've only recently discovered IC, so I have a lot of catching up to do (and I'm trying to do that!). Before I found all these boards and websites, I thought I'd send Fuji TV an email asking about DVDs (I even tried to tell them how they'd make lots of money!). Here is their reply: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 2:25 AM From: "英語ホームページ" <international.dept@info.fujitv.co.jp> Thank you very much for your inquiry. Unfortunately Iron Chef Japan series are not available in DVD. Thank you for your attention. Replies to this message are routed to an unmonitored mailbox. If you wish to contact us, please do not reply to this message but instead go to the "Contact Us" page of our website. www.fujitv.co.jp/en/So I guess they're not going to do the DVD thing. Anyways, hello everybody.

Indeed, while it is still a far-off dream of mine to have the series on DVD, it will most definitely not happen. Even when the series was in production, and became popular in America, the idea was not a primary objective for Fuji. The series ran for about 300 episodes. That would make for a pretty expensive set if every piece of material was included. And even then, it would not be dubbed. If the Food Network released (at the time the show was being aired on that channel) just their dubbed collection, the price would be comparable to a complete set, due to the extra work involved.
As was previously mentioned, it will never happen now. The Ironcheffans.info database is our only resort, outside of torrent sharing which has pretty much disappeared. If not for the spin-off shows in America and other countries, the original Iron Chef Japan would now be a memory at best.
