FIRST, I apologize if this has already been covered. I tried the forum search but it didn't pick anything up... I'm a great fan of the original Iron Chef, but at least 1/3 of the available episodes have no english dubbing or subtitles. (see filehouse.ironcheffans.info/)Given the length of time that this series has been out, it seems these aren't going to magically appear on their own. Is there any interest in pooling together a kitty(*) to get .sub files made? While the videos themselves are technically 'warez'(*) I believe subtitle (.sub) files would constitute fair use and would be quite legal to produce. What do you say folks? -David * Kitty meaning a shared pool of donations to get a student of the Japanese language to produce subtitle files for us * Technical in that none of these are available from any legal sources, and therefore 'warez' is the only way that one can get them. In the application world we call this 'abandonware', in the arcade world this is called 'MAME', and in the physical world we call those 'reproductions'

Would love to see this happen, possibly also to fansub the new revived series. I personally don't need subtitles to watch the episodes, but would love to have subtitles to be able to show episodes to friends who don't speak Japanese.
