If he can make crepes, French-Japanese style, great!

First time I could get into this thread without my computer crashing. I was trying to see if Sakai-san had a copy of his menu on the LaRochelle website, but couldn't find one. I think Sakai makes up his won French dishes and uses his sauces as the French cusine for them. Wonder why he chose French food?

Maybe he went to Le Cordon Bleu in either France or in Japan and he has a passion for French food. That's why he's the Delacroix of French Cuisine.

A couple of things to add to this thread...
1. Just in the past couple of days, this restaurant's web site has posted photos from this event. Check out http://www.restaurantstella.com; there's a photo of Sakai co-preparing a dish (with the circle mold!) with Stella! owner Scott Boswell. Then, click on "Stella! Photos" for a list of topics, including several IC-related trips & visits. The first link will offer some sub-folders for the March 2006 event with Sakai. (Looks like they're still working on some sections; let's hope we see even MORE soon!)
2. I was there. 3-15-06. I intend to write about this, sometime... sometime... I'm on the left, on the 3rd pic, under "Wednesday."

That's AWESOME, Silentreels, that you were able to attend the dinner with IC Sakai. PLEASE do a write up and tell us everything. Thanks for letting us know about the new photos posted on the Stella site. Soooo good to see IC Sakai in a recent setting. He is so fantastic!

That's great that you got to attend, silentreels! I wish I could have been there myself. Did you get to talk with Sakai-san?

I just visited Stella's site and they have all the photos from IC Sakai's appearance on line. They're great. Sakai is soooo cute in some of them, and, of course, beautiful in all of them. Check it out!
