Unless you don't watch tv news, or listen to it on the radio, you heard about John Mark Karr confessing to killing child "beauty queen" Jonbenet Ramsey. There are mixed thoughts regarding whether he is the actual murderer. Do you think is is? If he is, why do you think he would admit to it? It's been ten years, almost, and he has gotten away with it this long, he probably would have gotten away with it for the rest of his life if he had kept quiet, i.e., not e-mailed to that college prof in Colorado. However, they have corresponded for some five years before Karr was "captured". Why so long if there were suspicions with regard to him early in the game? Hmmm, very curious indeed. Well, before the DNA results are final, I just wanted to know who thinks what. I say (it's a hard call but) NO!

I still think that the parents done it. Think about it, a six year old winning beauty pagents wants to quit, and parents, who have got used to using their daughter winning them money, say no the hard way. I think it is a case of simple addition to me.
Yeah, Karr does have a motive, but his saying that [censored], is a lie. Nothing was in her system.

No way. This Karr guy didn't do it. He just wants attention. He is obviously has a sick and twisted mind which doesn't surprise me that he would pull junk like this. As for the Ramsey's, I have no doubt in my mind that they are innocent. Did anyone watch the Dateline special on this case last night? Did you poor Patsy's heart-wrenching 991 call? You could hear the terror in her voice...there's no way they did it. People suspected them to do it because there was no evidence, but the Ramsey's tampered all evidence on Jonbenet when they found her and picked her up. The police defiantly shined the spotlight on the Ramsey's when they should have been looking for the real scumbag who did it.

I have no idea. On the one hand he evidently said things that the police had kept under wraps. On the other hand after he was taken he made a statement that doesn't fit.
We hardly have all the information either since confidentiality clauses mean there's alot we won't hear until it comes to trial, if it does.
Who knows. None of us do that's for sure.

Yes, I saw Dateline last night, too. Now FNN is saying that Karr was getting a sex change in Thailand. Saying he was taking hormones, which is the first step in a sex change. Maybe that is why his face looks so "pretty". You can usually tell when people are taking hormones, if they're taking steroids their face takes on the look of a dog, bulldog or the likes. When they are taking female hormones the face starts to get a girlish look.

I can see the "girlish" look on his face too. But what's worse are those eyes.....those evil looking eyes.

I never paid much attention to the case in 1996, but seeing the way Jonbenet performed as a child beauty queen, it really sickins me that her parents would do what they did to her. It was like she was no more than a fiercely trained animal who must of been worked over and over daily on performance routines. She was quite talented but certainly did not resemble a little girl. How sad.

I agree. The pictures of Jonbenet are just plain scary. What's worse is that this probably would've never happened if the parents kept her out of the pageants. They also lost so much time they could have spent with their daughter.

You're right, AC. John, and at the very least, Patsy Ramsey should have been held accountable, for a large part, in the death of that little girl. If they had not been so "greedy" for fame, Jonbenet probably would not have been murdered. Well, they certainly got lots of fame and attention. I hope they thought it was worth the price.

This is why the media and the police didn't buy the Ramsey's story. Their love for their daughter was over shone by the pagent photos shown on TV. The image of the Ramsey's was (and still is) a bad one.

I really don't know if he's guilty or not, nor do I particularly care, in the sense that I tend not to follow or concern myself with "celebrity" antics.

Personally, I hope he is proven guilty so this case can end for good.
