It looks like something is happening(even if FN isn't saying something), because according to Yahoo's TV guide, the Sakai/Chen spotlight will be airing on October 3rd. Look it up for yourself. Go on...

First off, it's the Sakai/Chen Spotlight episode. (I should know this. I have this taped and reviewed.) Second, something's up for sure. I have a feeling that a time shift is coming in the near future.

I'm not feeling anything! No time change, nothing!

My fingers are crossed! Even if there is no time change it will be good to see this spotlight again.

According to an online schedule i saw, the following week's 4am show is Bamboo Shoots (the oldest episode besides the Ishinabe Christmas special). I'm hoping that what everyone's suggesting is right, because I can't imagine why Food would suddenly skip the entire Morimoto era. My fear is that they're planning to not air it at all anymore (maybe after the end of the year) and just aren't caring about the schedule. I assume they have a contract to air the show to a certain point, and I have no idea how long that goes.

It looks as if they're starting over at the beginning of the run. Why they would skip all of Morimoto's era is beyond me.

Battle Bamboo Shoots is currently the only upcoming Iron Chef episode on the schedule at Yahoo. I hope they just haven't updated in a while, because I'd hate to see Iron Chef go off the air so suddenly. It would be such a shame if IC goes of the air. After all these years, it performed so strongly for Food Network and even spun off ICA for them. Why shun it now? ICJ can only increase the popularity of ICA, not lower it. I hope the contract really isn't expiring. If they're taking the show off the air, they should at least play the King of Iron Chefs Tournament again, also known as the best episodes EVER.

Lol, Mickster! I'll be devastated if they take Iron Chef off the air. If they did, I think I would completely ban Food Network (expect for ICA, for what it's worth).
