What are your favorite ICJ episodes?
My absolute favorite episodes would have to be the King of Iron Chefs Tournament. So much great action, lots of drama, and awesome food. I actually wish they would have dubbed the KOIC Tournament later on in the U.S. series run so the voices were consistent and more developed, just because these shows are so awe-inspiring that they deserved better treatment.

My favorite battles are the tag team battles!
Including Team French vs. Team Chinese.
The Salvatore Brothers vs. Michiba and Sakai.
Fumaaka and Bruant vs Michiba and Chen.

I liked the Ohta faction battles, though I can't seem to upload the battle that the faction actually won. Anyone got a source for that one?

I enjoy the Ohta Faction battles as well...lose, lose and lose, but they keep coming back for more....
From a theme ingredient point of view, I enjoy the seafood battles...always seem more interesting, but maybe that is because they have more "character" than a vegtable or hunk of meat.

If I had to pick only one, I would have to say Kobe's pumpkin battle.
Also very high on my list are the octopus battles of both Kobe and Sakai.

I have a few.
Nakamura's Foie Gras Battle
Kobe's Pumpkin Battle
and Sakai's Mutton Battle.
I also enjoyed the tag-team and other "special" battles.

Don't forget Chen-san's epic battles against Corby...managing a tie against a French chef with Foie Gras was truly amazing.

Any episodes using lobster, crab, or shrimp.
Especially involving Sakai. Especially Sakai vs Siegel.

I also like Sakai, Nakamura, Kobe, and Morimoto's debut battles. Especially Morimoto's Sea Bream Battle.

I like Chen alot. Potato battle Kobayashi vs Chen is funny. Also Chen Yogurt battle, that one in the end judges were laughing too. Seem like a very happy episode. ;D

It's gotta be the Potato Lady against Chef Chen.
And remember her son did battle later on? And wasn't it potatoes again? Against Chef Chen?

Her name was Katsuyo Kobayashi, as I recall.
Her son went by the name Kentaro, and he battled Chen in "New Potato".

I still love that Sakai peach battle-complete insanity on so many levels. If the challenger's wife leaving him (and taking the kids) wasn't enough, she then sends him a "good luck" letter during the battle. And of course, the female judge saying that Sakai's food is turning her on. Lots of fun. ;D
