The TV Station that aired IJC Japan in Australia, SBS, has decided, in their infinite wisdom (not!), to stop showing IJC altogether (even though we were still in the Sakai/Michiba/Chen era), and are now showing ICA. What am I going to do now?!!Out of protest, I'm not watching ICA, and have lodged a complaint on the SBS website telling them how disappointed I am

How sad. Looks like ICJ is becoming extinct all over the world- and ICA is not a very good substitute. Keep complaining, but if SBS is like Food Network USA, it won't do any good.

Possibly a multicultural cable channel might pick it up. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
A more productive approach might be to lobby Fuji to make ICJ available on DVD or video download. But with 299 episodes to convert (not to mention re-negotiating with Imagine Entertainment for re-broadcast of the Backdraft music) that possibility doesn't look too high.

Guys,
Let me tell yall something. Think of all the great times we enjoyed watching the show. I must say this show really change my ways I cooking. I love any cuisine. Any chef, or cook. I mean I'll always adore Kaga and Morimoto. I have to admit, I love the show period. The show is biggest part of my life. You don't have any to worry about.

That's really a shame. Despite the fact that we can preserve all of the currently English dubbed episodes in digital format, news like this makes it seem less and less likely we'll ever get the rest of the episodes in English.

Soooo... we need Japanese connections willing to subtitle them for us? Anyone know anyone in Japan?

Thanks Guys! It's good to know I can still talk to everyone here about the show (and check out some of the episodes I haven't had the chance to watch here in Australia)

Oh wow. This is truly a sad day for ICJ fans. I'm sorry, KK007- we know how you feel.
