And the theme was: Opah! Batali racked up another well deserved win. What are your thoughts on Sunday's battle?

I thought the opah chowder made by Liu looked good.

I thought all the dishes looked great. Had my mouth watering, that's for sure. I was a bit surprised by the margin of victory - I'd expected it to be a bit closer.

I thought Liu made better dishes than Batali. But I figured Batali would win anyway. I thought the opah meatballs were a waste of good fish.... Liu been on the mainland too long.. candlenuts? Kukui! Kukui! They are really lovely toasted too. yum. ever notice that whenever there is a challenger with Hawaii roots, our dear Chairman from Hawaii always something to them in Hawaiian. It's kinda cute. Go local boyz! makes me a bit homesick. Martin Yan needs to judge more often. I loved his comments about the dishes.

Yeah, the Chairman speaking Hawaiian is a nice touch. It gives his character some depth.
Did anyone else laugh out loud when Iron Chef Batali "swam" back to his side of Kitchen Stadium with the giant Opah?

Actually, MA, I thought he was dancing, not swimming. Either way, it was definitely humorous.

I wasn't surprised Batali won with the way he was searching for every little different type of meat to be found on the fish.
I love his sense of humor.
Watching the Chairman greet fellow Hawaiians just warms my heart... and I have no idea what he is even saying!

This time, it was just "mahalo" to Chef Liu, it means "thank you" (not trash... Mahalo is on most the public trashcans in tourist areas. lol)
