Maybe they're just changing their schedule for spring, and will bring it back during the summer?

Just calm down. It's not going to be the end of the world if they take it off the air for a little while, maybe they are just trying something new to try and get more hits on their station.

... I sent them (FN) an e-mail politely asking why ICJ was not on the April schedule and asked if this was a temporary change . I really do not expect to hear back from them . But if they get enough inquiries about the show , maybe they will put some kind of announcement on their site .

You do have to understand that, they can't keep the show on the air forever. Look at power rangers, that was on the air for years and they eventually took it off the air (I didn't watch power rangers, its just an example)

Heh heh- I saw that one coming Misstee! I know they couldn't keep the show on the air forever, but it was the show that put FN on the map, and made them lots of cash. It makes no sense to make new episodes of Iron Chef America without having the original Iron Chef on the air, too. It's just surprising. I've heard that they are temporarily taking it off the schedule, and FN will decide during this period if they will bring it back or not. It's a test- let's make sure it fails. I, too, sent Food Network a mail about a week ago. I don't expect to get a response either, but it was worth a shot.

FN is doing a test- if the network does well without Iron Chef, then its gone for good. If people want it back/ the network suffers, then it might come back, maybe in a different time slot. One never knows with this type of thing.

There are millions of IC fans all over the world, Australia, Canada, even in Europe, who get the food network and who will, no doubt, send mail/e-mail complaining. Food network cannot ignore all of us together.

Tonight is it the last ICJ battle before Alton and Rachel swipe the 11:00 PM EST slot from IC.

We don't know how long this is for. This may be for a few weeks, they might air the last episode ever. Who knows.
