Hirano: I really like this dish. The wasabi in here is just perfect, and I like the chicken very much, but I have to agree that the noodles may have taken a back seat to the chicken in this dish.

Post---- “Sweet but Savory” Cellophane. To kick out the course with some sweet citrus(lemon, lime, yuzu orange and grapefruit) fresh mint and cilantro and juicy bits of pomegranates. Dressing? Yes! With more mint and cilantro with a juice of lemon and lime accentuating with a grape seed oil. A dollop of fresh whipped cream will do the noodle a good trick. End Post----
Nakamura: To end it, I made a very special dessert, it's very sweet with the citrus but it's savory when you have mint and cilantro. Dressing consists of combining the mint, cilantro, and grapeseed oils together with a splash of lemon and lime. With fresh whipping cream and cherry on top. As if it's a light sundae.

Kurimoto: "The mint works well here to counteract the sourness of the citrus fruits used here, and the cellophane is put to a proper function, carrying those flavours while contributing a nice al dente texture. I'm not entirely certain of the whipped cream because there's a risk that the acids in the fruits could break down the milk fat, but apart from that I'd say this is a good way to finish."

Kazuko Hosoki: I am not really sure what to think of this. It is a beautiful dish and pleasing to the eyes. As an attempt at dessert it is well done. I just don't know if I would ever choose to try this myself.

A nice effort, but I must say that this dessert is not something that I would want again. The noodles are very well done, but the use of mint and cilantro in both the meal itself and the dressing is very overused. Also the whipped cream and the cherry on top practically ruined the intent of the dish. Perhaps if you had more time, you could have perfected it more.

Hirano: I have to say it- I really don't like this dish at all. The cream was terrible with the citrus, and the mint and cilantro felt to heavy for this dish. I'm sorry, Iron Chef, but this dish did not show your true talent at all.

Fukui: And now that the tasting for Honorary Iron Chef Nakamura's dishes has ended, it's time to bring Iron Chef Chen back into Kitchen Stadium to finish his dishes. He'll have fifteen minutes before judgment begins. It looks like Iron Chef Chen and his assistants are in position on their side of Kitchen Stadium, so let's go ahead and have the final stretch of the Cellophane Noodle Battle begin!
*The Gong of Fate sounds*
Fukui: And there it is, the Gong of Fate. That means that the Iron Chef's final fifteen minutes have begun!

Hattori: Now we see the final cooking of the noodles, reheating any sauces that have to be served warm, and the plating. I am sure the Iron Chef will be fine.

Chen: (Assistant 1) Start to steam the chawan-mushi. I'll do the signature pan fried noodle sauce. (Assistant 2) Sauté the ingredients for the Pad Thai. This will be using two woks. (Smiling at the crowd.)
*Sautéing the roast pork, shrimp, carrots, straw mushrooms, bamboo shoots and Chinese broccoli. Then some wine, oyster sauce, sugar, light and dark soy sauce are added. Some broth is added to form a sauce which is thickened up by corn starch.*
Chen: Now this sauce is going to be kept warm. Let me do the Pad Thai.
*Adding the noodles to the sautéing ingredients: Roast Pork, mung bean sprouts, omelet, baby shrimp, snow peas and bell pepper. Flip the ingredients and adds fish sauce, samball and green/yellow curry powder. Flip the wok and add a small amount of oil to the dish to make it glisten in the light.*
Chen: Get the earthenware pot ready for presentation.
*Checking on the Chawan-mushi.*
Chen: It will be done in five minutes, so watch it carefully. Let me thicken up the sharks fin soup and we'll put it on top right when the chawan-mushi is done.
*Chops up some scallion (white part only) and some black winter truffle.*
Chen: The charcoal is hot enough, add it to the hot pot and add the special broth we made before.
*Laying on a plate : five shrimp butterflied, thinly sliced shitake mushroom, thinly sliced beef and pork, sliced bamboo shoot and some water crest. The sauces for the hot pot are scooped out into small dishes. The cold cooked noodles for the meat sauce are mixed with the mung bean sprouts and juliane cucumber. Then it is placed into bowls. The dessert is placed into chinese soup spoons on top of ice. Extra sugar, plum wine, green tea syrup is drizzled on top.*
Chen: I think we are almost done. Just some plating and the chawan-mushi we'll be done. Time please. The chawan-mushi will be coming close to the finish. Just fluff the cold noodles and prepare them for the hot sauce.
*Scoops out the Pad Thai on top of the preserved mustard greens. A sprinkle of spicy fish sauce and sesame oil, finishes the dish.*

Kurimoto: "Wow, look at Chen-san go! He's really intent on getting his dishes done, eh, Fukui-san?"

Fukui: You bet, Kurimoto-san. His job is strenuous enough as it is, so I can only imagine the added pressure put on him by today's special rules.

Hattori: Well Chen is certainly making the most of his 15 minutes. It is a pleasure to see his stir fry's coming together. The hot pot is looking good, as is the dessert. I think the judges are in for a treat.

Ohta - sacuuie-san, I'm here watching Chen-san and he is moving around here like a ball of fire getting his noodles done. I don't want to interupt him at this time since he only has 15 minutes. But I can tell you this looks like a feast. I can see the VIPs in the Royal Box straining to see what he is doing. In fact, the Iron Chefs who are in attendance have gathered around, closer to Chen-san's station and I think someone better call in security to keep them at bay because they look hungry!!! (shoo, shoo, back, back!)

*Kaga steps into Kitchen Stadium, and the Iron Chefs all retreat back to the Royal Box*
Fukui: Well, how's that for a solution, Ohta?
10 MINUTES TO GO!
Fukui: Iron Chef Chen has only ten minutes left. The roar of the crowd is becoming deafening in here! Doc, do you think Chen-san will finish?

Hattori: At this rate his only concern will be plating. It can take the entire 10 minutes for last minute touches and his final cooking is cutting into that time.
