Neobliss, please don't take offense. My buddy rosdaddy comes from (as he mentioned) a time where lots of us were quite passionate about the original show. We were there when ICA began, only to have our uber-excitement crushed by the realization that IC had become another Food Network tool. The new show doesn't look like it will be much better, although it is nice to know that it isn't specifically a Food Network product.
And this isn't to say that you and other newer posters aren't passionate as well - maybe we're just becoming grumpy old men.
But I digress - getting one's feelings on board with fellow fans is what these boards are all about.

Exactly, and the comments aren't said in any kind of one directional venom. It's just a tired formula...and looking at the "star" chefs they have on their roster? Well, I'll speak vaguely...as much as I would need to so as to avoid a slander case. But one of these "iron chefs" was one of the worst guests ever (if not THE worst) on my podcast. Maybe I'll let secret out soon, but I don't see that coMING anytime soon.

As a longtime SF resident, I will be keen to observe Dominique Crenn's creative process. Unfortunately, I never dined at "Atelier Crenn" but it's been a landmark restaurant there for a long time. I'd also love to see nouvelle nordique from Marcus Samuelsson.

Like your friend said, sharing opinions is what message boards like this one is for--whether you like/agree with them or not.

Thanks, neoblisseyx. Too many times things get taken the wrong way over written text and on the Internet especially.
Rosdaddy got jokes - but he would know. His podcast has featured many a notable guest, and if no one has listened to the Course Grind Podcast as of yet, I highly recommend going to Youtube and sitting back with a few listens. Good stuff indeed if you're of a culinary mind.
So wonderful to see above-average activity on this site as of late. If anyone happens to be lurking and hasn't joined as a member, please do join the throng!
