It should be noted that Marcus Samuelsson HAS challenged in Kitchen Stadium before...when it was still Kitchen Arena under Chairman Shatner. He also challenged Bobby Flay in Battle Corn in 2008.
Dominique Crenn defeated Michael Symon in Battle Yogurt in 2010.
Curtis Stone previously battled Bobby Flay in Battle Skipjack Tuna in 2010.
Ming Tsai previously defeated Bobby Flay in Battle Duck in 2005.
Gabriela Camara is the only true Iron Chef newcomer, having never challenged in any iteration of the show that I could find.

So we have Iron Chefs French, Mexican, Pan-Asian, Australian, and, uh, Swedish-African?
One thing that ICA lost sight of is that their ICs didn't have such a specialized style like their predecessors. While there may be a confusing crossover or two here, there is certainly not a slouch among the bunch.

That's a really nice lineup of Iron Chefs! I'm really surprised and excited to see Ming Tsai!
The comments in the article about the variety of cultures represented and the grander Kitchen Stadium are also promising. Can't wait to see more!
