Nakamura in purple. His dishes weren't as great as Michiba-San and Morimoto-San. But I still say, he's the greatest.

Nakamura-san was a pretty good chef. His dishes looked pretty darn good. He would be a lot more accepted in the Iron Chef community if he would have stayed a little longer on the show, but I think he was good as an Iron Chef. He just lacked the charisma of the other Iron Chefs.

Not just his charisma, his motivation is lacking too.

Excellent chef, yes, lack of charisma, yes, but the worst part to me was his looks were "scary" All of the other IC's were, in their own ways, handsome guys. Sadly, Nakamura did not compliment the show, and I think that also had an impact on him being replaced.

I think Nakamura missed the whole point of the show. He wasn't very creative in many of his dishes and that was part of the challenge, to create new dishes. That was why he lost so many battles.
I still think he got a bad rap, though.

Nakamura is my favourite Iron Chef. In my opinion he doesn't look ugly or scary, he is just an ordinary Japanese person like the other Iron chefs. He'd have more fans if FTV translated more of his episodes. Don't forget he tied in a match with Alan Passard (at the time), the top chef in the world, which often seems to be overlooked. I'd really like to visit his restaurant if I had the chance.

I don't think any of the Iron Chefs look scary, why would you say that, Michiba?

I don't think any of the Iron Chefs look scary, why would you say that, Michiba? I have to admit...when I first saw IC, I thought they were weird and scary...but by the time I seen the show my curiousity was faded...I love the show after all.

Capitals aren't necessary- she just asked a question.
