My favorite guest would have to be Takata-san. She is very pleasant to watch, and seems to know a lot about food. How about you?

My favorite is Tenmei Kanou. ICJ spotlighted him one time when he was taking photographs on one of the challengers during a sort of field trip. Tenmei is a very renown photographer whose work is in most of the newspapers and magazines in Japan, plus he is so CUTE. And such a guy! When both IC Sakai and Tenmei are on a show at the same time, it is really a treat for me.

Then if Kanoh is your favorite...I'll take Asako Kishi. She is my #1 choice anyway!

Takada-san is a cutie but someone needs to dress her, wearing blue velvet with white shoes and pearls, what was that about? This show aired April 22.

... I looked for a Bio on her and found this ... Mayuko Takata Mayuko Takata (‚“c–œ—RŽq Takata Mayuko, born January 5, 1971 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese actress. Her blood type is Type A. Her husband is Japanese violinist Taro Hakase. Role in Iron Chef Ms. Takata's role in the series was limited to commentator, and judge. Ms. Takata has no culinary training. She appeared in the show well dressed and of cheerful disposition. Her culinary commentary frequently focused on the overall taste of the dishes. Education April 1977 to 1990: Shirayuri Gakuen, a Catholic school for girls in Japan, with an emphasis on English language; April 1987 (likely a component of study abroad program, at Gakuen): Institut Le Rose in Switzerland (The Swiss Confederation), a very expensive boarding house in Switzerland in which Takata would have been in the company of princesses, heiresses, and the children of very powerful individuals; April 1990 to March 1994: University of Tokyo - BA, focusing on Western History. Language Abilities Ms. Takata is fluent in Japanese and conversant in French. Media Career Ms. Takata's works include: Movies: Goto Shi Kabushiki Kaisha' (Japan, 1993). Ms. Takata also appeared in the sequel to this work; Radio: Yokohama City File (1993-1995 Japan); Written Works: Published or participated in the publication of over ten books; Commercials Work: was cast in commercials for three entities (one of them, a food oriented entity); Stage Work: Three stage presented titles. Political Appointment Ms. Takata was appointed as Goodwill Ambassador to the Nation of France. ... from looking at the bio , she did commercial work for a food company ... I wonder if that company was a major supplier of ingredients used on the show and she was kind of a reminder of their products for the viewers ... and being appointed Goodwill Ambassador to France is a feather in Fuji TV's cap to have her on their program ... I'm just guessing at all this ...
