I'm sure that Michiba will retire in this episode. With a win (I hope!)
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Chen takes on Michiba in the Mr. Iron Chef Tournament. Will Chen take the honors and title of this years Mr. Iron Chef, or will Michiba get to retire on top with a second Mr. Iron Chef title? Tune it to see whose cuisine reigns supreme!
Good Luck, Michiba-San!

Yes, if this is the battle between IC Chen and IC Michiba, it is Michiba's final battle. This was was a sad day. LONG LIVE IC MICHIBA. VIVA'LA IC MICHIBA. MICHIBA-SAN IS A gOD!

I thought the entire opening sequence was very dramatic. When Kaga rose up on the IC platforms with the flag-bearers, with the theme song playing the background- very cool. It was fun when all the sous chefs held up the puzzle pieces of Michiba.
I think this was one of the only episodes without the "Tell me what you eat, and I'll tell you what you are" opening.

Yes, it was definitely an awesome opening. Brought tears to my eyes. But it is really going to be sad when the next show is over because god Michiba will be gone again. Even though I don't like IC Najamura, I will watch the show faithfully. But I'm happy there are not many episodes with him.

Iron Chef Nakamura was a good chef, but he wasn't adventurous enough to be an Iron Chef. He just didn't fit the role.
The opening, as I said before, was awesome. I can see where it brought tears to your eyes, Mickster.
It was fun hearing Kaga say "if memory serves me right" in Japanese, without a voice-over.

Tell me Man Alive how would you say that phrase in Japanese. Give it a shot.

Well, it's over. Did anyone cry? I hope so, I don't want to be the only one who cried at last night's second and final episode of Iron Chef 1995. It was a great battle and I'm happy IC Michiba won, would have been sort of embarrasing if he hadn't. Loved it much when IC Chen and IC LUCIOUS presented beautiful bouquets of flowers. VIVA'LA IC MICHIBA, long live the Japanese god!
